Holi
I I am interested in the celebration of Holi. Has anybody seen this holiday being celebrated in Canada? I think it is a really great way of celebrating the end of winter.
Tofino and Ucluelet…my favourite place
These are pictures of South Beach. It is located between Ucluelet and Tofino on the west coast of Vancouver Island. This is my favourite place in the world. My family also loves the other beaches because they are so clean and beautiful. The sand feels like powder. We live about 3.5 hours away in Courtenay, B.C. South Beach is full of pebbles. There is no sand but you can lay on the rocks because they are all perfectly smooth and polished by the powerful Pacific Ocean waves. In the summer when the sun heats the rocks up it is like a pebble massage. ahhhh…summer
What was Halloween like in ancient times?
I have been thinking about the origins of Halloween. I wonder how the ancient celtic people felt as they were preparing for their festival. Were they spooked? What did they make their costumes out of?
